What is it

A pixel-art picture book for kids, drawn entirely in code, so each car looks exactly the same on every page. The first book is Why Is the Porsche Orange?: a Porsche fresh off the production line is still bare aluminum. On the road it meets Little Red, Little Yellow, Little Green, Little Black, Little Blue, Little Purple and Little White, asks each one why it is that color — watermelon, pineapple, kiwis, mulberries, blueberries, grapes, coconut — then eats the same fruit at the orchard, turns the same color, and checks itself in the lake. In the end it sees that everyone by the lake has a color of their own, remembers that it loves oranges, and turns orange. Each time a new car appears, the book asks “What brand is it?” The child names one, it gets tapped in, and that answer appears on the car’s name tag for the rest of the book and on the last page; each brand can be used only once per book, and any brand not on the list can be typed in. 38 pages, with page turning, swiping and read-aloud; the current page and the chosen brands are saved.
